Making a heart breaking executive decision today. Though I am so in love with the tail. It just isnt going to work out.... Reasons?
1.) It is 33 pounds of pure silicone. I Simply dont have the strength to maneuver this tail around. IT IS neutral underwater however.
2.) Despite my stretches I have been doing, it still REFUSES to smooth out.
That being said, I am going to sell it. I want to be able to get what I paid for it. Since I never actually had a chance to use it, the condition in which it was bought remains the same.
It is a Mertailor tail. It was bought USED by me (however remains unused as I never got the chance to use it)
MEASUREMENTS: Waist: 23-24 inch; Butt; 29-30 inch; Waist to Floor; 38-40 inch; Shoe: 6-7 Woman.
Mind you this was NOT an easy decision to make. It's a beautiful tail and very close to my heart, it's just not what I need/able to work with. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED PLEASE MESSAGE ME. I WILL ONLY BE TAKING SERIOUS BUYERS. Thank you.

I'll share it on the mernetwork FB page to help signal boost.

I am so sorry it didnt work out for you :(

I can't swim in my mermaid creations tail either, it weighs about the same but mermaid ama and Naida are awesome in it. You might consider asking a tail maker to do a thinner tail like Raven did for me, it really makes a load of difference so long as you can be careful not to damage it.

When I have more funds to be able to afford an alternate and BRAND NEW tail, I will consider doing so. I may still choose to opt with a neoprene base. I am undecided right now. But we shall see. And thank you for the added share over the FB page.

I shared it also. Sad that it didn't work out (thats the tail that got me into mermaiding too). We'll get you a tail soon, hopefully. I've got more clay coming and I'm working on the scale mold now. Debating sculpting the "softer" scales instead of using the foam cut outs.

How stretchy is it. It is my measurements EXCEPT for the butt. Mine is 36 around.

I am a very strong swimmer. thats not the issue. the issue is that its the wieght OUT of water. its too heavy for me to carry around from place to place. :/ Silicone isnt always the right choice for every mermaid out there.

I'm confused about the stretching statement. You are tinier than me, so it won't fit me. What do you mean no matter what you stretch it won't flatten out? Did you try it on, and it just not fit?
I also way understand the weight thing, my merbellas is maybe 20 pounds wet, but after 7 minutes of walking with it, my arms are killing me, I can't imagine more than 25 pounds.

Maybe it's because I'm a guy in shape but I seriously don't get the weight issue. I'm working out on a daily basis and that kind of weight doesn't seem terrible to me. Perhaps my mind will change once I will get my own silicone tail but until then I admit I'm not really concerned *shrug*
I shall know in a month. Wait for it.

Seriously sean carries my mermaid creations tail. It is over 30lbs and weight is not distributed in a way your body can make sense of plus you are trying not to damage it. I totally get the weight thing

Stretching my own body. my calves to help them lengthen to fit it tail. it fits everywhere else, my calves are just to strong and bulky for it to smooth out well.

Oh same here. I mean normally I can handle 30 pounds easily. But its the placement of the weight of these tails that makes it difficult for me. Plus, I am only 5 foot 2 inches tall.... My fiance can carry it, but even he says that (like you said Raina) the distribution of the weight on these tails makes it not an easy task. And since I am going to be the one to carry my tail pretty much 99% of the time, I need one that works well for me.

Yeah, my neoprene lined tail is only 16-18 pounds, and it's still really awkward to carry. I have vast respect for all of you that handle a 30 pound tail! And I can totally understand how someone couldn't do it. I'm not sure I can at my current fitness level.

For those of you that don't know. This is the very tail that was worn by Ashley Angel fish and seen on the cover of the book The Twice Lost.

He didnt say specifically. I think It was just the fact that it was no longer being used (as you will see in many of the new videos and images, his Pod has all upgraded to reflect his newer items and style) and that it was taking up much needed studio/work space...

I can field this as well from personal experience; both as a former life guard and as a transwoman. While I could never reproduce, before hormone replacement therapy I had physically masculinized (and worked out) enough that I was one of the strongest guards in Toronto. My strength is still above-average, but I have gone from lifting hundreds of pounds and doing more than forty push-ups without breaking a sweat to doing one push-up with difficulty and not being able to pull myself up and out of the water without a flick from my monofin to help. For fear of sounding sexist, the fact that men are usually much stronger than women physically is often glossed over in our modern fantasy-filled world (there is some overlap, however; in a recent examination of the U.S. military it was shown that the top 97th percentile of women were stronger than the bottom 2% of men).

Women have several advantages over men when swimming, however, and in a life guarding environment things are very co-ed and the females often surpassed the males in various areas. The exception was "the brick"; the test of strength involving retrieving a small heavy object from the bottom of the (at times 12-metre deep) pool and keeping it fully out of the water while swimming to the side. In a vaguely-similar way, the disproportionate weight of the tail fluke would make swimming in a heavy silicone tail difficult. Looking at your .gif, however, I doubt you'll have a problem!

Let it be known, that as of right now, the status of the tail is SALE PENDING.
an invoice has been issued. awaiting payment.
She will be finding a new home with a mermaid that works alongside Twig the Fairy. A very good match for a tail such as this.
If any thing changes for whatever reason. I will update accordingly.
Thank you.

The tail has found a new home this evening. It will be going to a mermaid that will give it a good home. I thank everyone that expressed interest and made an offer. Please understand that this was no easy choice for me to begin with, as I truly loved the tail (regardless of not being able to use it)
