So just for the hell of it, I have started to make a duct tape tail as an experiment and I am wondering if anybody has any ideas on waterproofing because some of the seams have wrinkles and let water in under the adhesive. If not, that's fine. It is an experiment after all...:)

E6000 glue, maybe. I have duct tape on my monofin (gorilla tape actually) and I just let water get in and then hang it out to dry.

I saw somebody in a duct tape tail.
It was on a different site, though.
Very different indeed.

My best guess would be to apply another layer of duct tape(with some sort of glue attached to the adhesive) over the original seams. For the top part take another piece of duct tape and cover that part with it

E6000 glue. The monofin in my tail is 2 swim fins sewn together, hot glued flimsy plastic notebooks, with 5 layers of duck tape on overtop. The fabric was then glued on with e6000. Has work just fine for me.
