Delphine

Hey, fin-sy folks! There was a thread around here about faerie wings. Through that & some research, I have a cool, new art project going that I've been working on for the last few months. It's ready to share & be shared and I knew through you all, that MN would be another place where interest blossoms. Now, I am thrilled to announce, I got my faerie Kickstarter up and live. It is launched, which means you can check out Fluttering into a Faerie, aka. Project Aurianne. Already, I created the character, faerie Aurianne. Her means "golden", her hair is short (I cut off mine!), and she has a spirited, feisty personality. My plans are to create a realistic set of life-size faerie wings, cast my own body and make custom-elongated faerie ears and wear a costume and accessories. Then, comes a performance piece in the faerie costume. Project Aurianne is an awesome project. Now, I've researched, experimented, and played around with materials (research also!). This is my second campaign on the popular crowd-funding website Kickstarter.com for my art. The first-ever (and successfully over-funded, holy cow!) Kickstarter was Project Delphine--hm, that name sounds familiar, lol. Delphine was my senior thesis work, where I turned myself into a mermaid and crafted a handmade silicone mermaid tail. And the other accessories to create a realistic mermaid costume. You all, of course, were unbelievably awesome with all your support, encouragement and enthusiasm. Although this project isn't about mermaids, I bet many of you love faeries and other magical creatures, too. Faeries, after all, are like the mermaids of the air as they swim through the sky.. On my Kickstarter page, you can see the project, images, watch the video (and chuckle at my enthusiasm for iridescent film XD) & chose a pledge level if you are so inclined. I am offering 15, fun reward tiers for pledging backers. The Kickstarter project is live NOW, through 6 June. That's about a month to check out, support, and share Project Aurianne. The Kickstarter project must be fully-funded to be successful and the Kickstarter campaign ends on Friday, 6 June 2014. If you still wish to be involved, I would appreciate even your sharing my work with your friends. So, come all ye fantasy & faerie fans! Let's do this! :) {Project Page: Fluttering into a Faerie} https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/belletomermaid/fluttering-into-a-faerie {Project Image: won't let me attach the image, so here's the link} http://iwstudios.deviantart.com/art/Fluttering-into-a-Faerie-Project-Image-452419952
