Monofin Foot Pockets

So after wearing my tail at home twice now I have noticed that my feet always want to slide as far out of the foot pockets as possible while still staying in the straps (Finis Foil - Large size). I have noticed that since this happens there are wrinkles on the front of the tail meaning there is a lot of extra silicone that is being used because of this. Is there a way to keep feet from sliding backwards into the straps of a Finis foil. The reason for a large sizze is because my feet a wide and the medium just squished them. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe you could make some sort of inserts for the heels.... Neoprene maybe. Like socks with a bunch of heel padding.
