So my tail is constructed out of neoprene, latex, silicone, and acrylic airbrush paint. Any questions, please ask! http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/amugaty7.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/neme8a2e.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/3e2evy8a.jpghttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/18/e7yquvy2.jpg

What type of silicone are you using?
And are you mixing the paint with the silicone or painting on top? :)

I began with dragonskin but I couldn't keep up with it. I put the latex down, airbrushed, then put the silicone ontop of that

Latex and silicone won't cure next to each other--have you had any issues??

No issues at all. I did them at different times I'm not sure if that helped it

I conducted a 2 hour submerge test with one of my pectoral fins and it is not harmed or altered! :)

Oh okay, it looks like you're using Alex plus. What is your silicone material? Silicone based caulk?
I'm still surprised they cured next to each other. Are they both tin cure? I don't know if that would make a difference.

It looks nice so far! I'm looking forward to seeing it finished!

I used caulk for the fluke because I ran out of my other silicone! >_< I couldn't keep up with it, it gets rather costly! But thank you!

Can I ask what you used to expand on your monofin? Foils are damn lumpy. It's really beautiful so far!

I just used clay! I bought a huge heavy block of it at the craft mart for around $11 and it has done me wonders! All you do is crack and peel to take then clay out of the silicone. You could wrap the clay in plastic wrap, that is what I say the fluke on top of and it peeled off so easily.
