Hi all!

I've been wondering if one can make long bladed monofin with free diving flippers + flexible lexan like the Fin Fun type (sorry I don't know the mm thickness sizes Lexan comes in, so I'm describing what I want).

Then cut the lexan into an elongated oval or petal shape, and glue them on like normal monofin.

So that when you're swimming, the monofin goes all wavy like an eel.

Only way to know it to try it! I don't see why not.

I have asked Fin Fun what mm the monofins are, but have not received a reply yet. Hoping maybe someone here knows what mm size is good for that kind of flexibility.

Mine is really long. Like 42" I think. It's fiberglass, it looks pretty in the water, but man is it sharp.

I can vouch for the sharpness :-) I don't know how thich the fin fun ones are but they are pretty flexible and about the length of my elbow to my wrist.

Oh I don't mean mm in length size, I meant it in the thickness of the sheet.

Most folks use the .093" thick lexan for monofins.

Ok thank you. It was something I have always wondered about, and now that I have more info about it. It will be made for a future tail. Just don't know what colors yet. Got to find me a nice colored eel...
