Mer-King and Mer-Royalty

I have seen in multiple places the Mer-King and Mer-Royalty and I really cant find anything about it. People talk about it very respectfully and I think it sounds cool but I really have no idea what it means or entails. Can anyone explain it to me?

Fabulous names aside, I think they may be talking about the Mer-Royalty group. I'm a little fuzzy on the details myself, but I think it includes a Chris (Christomer? Christian?), JV, and Lanai.

I totally agree with titles awarded at a convention only lasting a year.

Its hadn't between a year yet. They were awarded in August of last year.. so since merpalooza is for and fl/nc Merfest has taken over.. the titles should be handed to someone else in September or january..

Well we started the NY (Mer-Orca )Pod, JV appointed himself as Merprince, I was named MerQueen By JV in October, And then we have Christian who's the southern Merprince but still a prince in our pod, I believe we have 2 princes, a Duke and a Lord in the pod (I know we are recently naming Matt and Shawn each a given title, now we have a few new mers in the pod and counting) . We also have a few honorary mermaids/mermen who we considering apart of our pod, Duchess Kailani and Lady Theta are two of them. To me it's just a title and im honored to have it. whether its from one pod or another :D

Whenever Seraphina comes to the pod meet up we will give her and our two new mermaids an "official" title :D

I've self-bestowed the title of "The Pearl Empress" back since around December 2012 but haven't really used it officially because I wanted to spend more time on working who my base mersona truly *is*. Now that I pretty much have Annwyn sorted out into someone I really like, the Pearl Crown fits pretty damn nicely, if I do say so myself. :)
