Okay, so I was just thinking a second ago about a picture I saw, with fins up the back and arms. What if we could make a tail that continued up the dorsal/back side along your spine and down the arms and then hooks into a necklace around the neck and maybe secures itself on the bra, bracelets, or something to keep in place. If anyone wants to draw what they think I'm saying, ill tell you if its right. And we can all discuss the possibilities.

I had a similar idea once where the silicone would cover the back and back of the arms, and scales would go around on the neck, wrists and chest/bra. Of course the back pieces would have to be held down with spirit gum or something or be shaped in just the right way so as not to gap off. Anyway, it would be a really cool idea to see come to life.

But then how would you take it off quickly if there was an emergency?

Keep in mind that with the exception of spandex tails, most tails are difficult to remove in an emergency situation. Perhaps a side zipper would be helpful for this.

Yeah, I've seen that before, I would love a full body suit like that. But I was thinking more skin showing. I guess I'll draw something up tonight and post ASAP. ;)

Maybe once I finish my fully sequined one, I could attempt this. But first I need to make this one: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/835606348/mermaid-caspianas-realistic-sequin-tail ... all help is appreciated. Please back and/or share! :D

I've always thought it would be cool to have a dorsal fin continuing up the back.

That would be pretty rad I think, one with the tail sort of way. I like it!

I was thinking the Otter Bay Suits will be great for this. It would be an excellent way to hide the zipper at the back!

But then how would you take it off quickly if there was an emergency? My competition tail was going to be like this, and safety was actually a major concern of mine, considering how the fin binding was going to be. Still working out how to get out of the thing quickly, in theory.

Some kind of button snaps that you can sew on, and take off in a hurry. Zips are not reliable as they sometimes get stuck.

Consider how the "Creature from the Black Lagoon" suit was made. There was indeed a zipper, which was concealed by the spine fins. I was thinking that this could be something that could be done with a cloth tail. How well do zippers work in a silicone tail?
