question about Createx paint. This paint here: http://airbrushpaintdirect.com/createxcolorspaints?pm2_a=show&pm2_id=12
is it already thin enough to use with an airbrush system? and if its not how much airbrush paint thinner do I mix in with it?

It's already ready for airbrushing, though I'd run a mixer thru it first to get the metalics well mixed.

it depends on the nozzle size of your airbrush. Createx makes a "thinner" they call illustrator . It works well. I normally do a 1 part of it to 2 parts paint. Works nicely. no need really for a mixer, I just shake it well by hand. I love their paints. As to your question I got an email about, but seems gone on my thread, get the 4 oz bottles. It will be enough for the tail and some touchups down the road.

Thank you so much Julz! you just saved me a lot of money, my parents wanted me to get the giant bottles and for a rainbow tail that would cost over $130!!

your welcome.... the more different colors you use, the smaller the bottle. when you stick to primarily 2 colors, it would be best to get just an 8 oz bottle of it only. but thats only like 7 -8 bucks on Ebay. I got lucky and found a local store that carries it and they can order any color I need. rememember to do light coats, heat treat each one, then another coat and repeat. I also suggest getting Perma-Wet from Monstermakers.com or if you are feeling bold, there are a few sights online that tell you how to make it yourself.

TEST it first on a small patch of latex that you have cut away. I normally put it in a bucket of water I pulled from someone's pool for a few days, then twist and turn and stretch it to see how it goes. This will help you learn how many layers you will need to do and also how your ratio mix is working for you.

The company that makes Createx also makes Wicked airbrush paints. Reviews indicate coverage is better, but I have yet to test out the colors I have. I should be using them in the next week or so. ;)
