So I just purchased my first airbrush yesterday. Its just a basic single action unit for beginners. http://shop.hobbylobby.com/products/ez-starter-airbrush-set-101048/ This one.

Anyway, I went to test it out, and we got it hooked up to our compressor, no leaks, but no paint comes out. Theres a good airflow coming from the spray end, but it wont suck paint through. I switched it out with a jar of water to see if it was the paint but still nothing! please Help!!!

If it has an adjustment knob for paint flow try turning it one way or the other. Hopefully this helps.

It looks as if the diagonal nozzle can be screwed up and down. This would adjust the suction on the paint can and therefore the amount of paint sprayed. Try screwing it up until you notice water or paint coming out of the airbrush.

Another tip: don't use too much air pressure. I guess about 14 to 20 psi (1 to 1,5 bar) should be enough for a start, especially when using low viscosity fluids like water. You can adjust it later.

Thanks for your help! I got it figured out. Turns out there was a little glob of paint in the nozzle blocking the flow. (:
