Okay, so I've been trying to get some photos together to show some of the ocean themed jewelry I've made in the past. Some of these pieces are quite old, I made them when I was in the metal design program in art school. (that was over 10 years ago now!) Some of them I may be interested in selling, but I also do custom pieces.
I've mostly been focusing on my Norse and Viking themed jewelry for the past few years and my husband and I have an Etsy shop for that: https://www.etsy.com/shop/HammerSol
I'll start with the oldest piece first. This is a copper starfish brooch and ring set. I cannot duplicate these unfortunately because I no longer have access to the equipment used to create them. The starfish on the ring spins:

Here is an octopus pendant I made with precious metal clay (PMC). I don't enjoy this medium and prefer casting:

This piece I may actually be interesting in selling. The necklace is glass and real coral beads, the seahorse is enameled fine silver. He is articulated, which means that he moves!

This is a pendant I made just a few years back. It's a megalodon shark tooth that's actually probably about five inches long!

Ok, this is my favorite piece. It actually took me a few years of working on this on and off. The chain is woven by hand out of individually fused fine silver rings. The clasp was hand fabricated and set with a tiny moonstone. The mermaid I carved from wax by hand and cast her. That part alone probably took me about a month. She is holding a rainbow moonstone.

Sorry for the big pictures! I hope you all enjoy my little gallery of mermaid jewelry. If any of you are interested in a special custom piece, I would love to work with you on it! Or if you have any questions about working with precious metals or the techniques I used to create these pieces, I would love to answer them.

How much would it be for something like that tooth pendant? Is it completely water-safe? If so, I'd definitely be interested in something like that! It looks really cool, I could put it on a black string or something as a choker sorta thing, due to the style of top I'm going to have...

Sterling silver, copper, gold or any other precious metals are NOT safe for wear in chlorine, and only sometimes safe in ocean water. I am hoping to find some metals soon that I can work in that would be safe for wear in chlorine, however this might be beyond my range of ability.
The pendant with the tooth would probably be about $200 for fabrication and that is if you provide the tooth. The person I made that for had found his own since he was an avid fossil hunter. If you buy a megalodon shark tooth that large from what I understand it can be several hundred dollars.

I found a resin version, and it's white. I figure I can just buy that, as the last one that was black was bought out. It was 19.99, so I just have to order it tomorrow, along with other stuff for free shipping. Since it's white, it seems more like my mersona may have existed back in that time, rather than it being black like a fossilized one.. Still need to come up with her back story n everything.
