I just got back from my appearance at Terror Con in Providence, RI. with my pirate family, New England Brethren of Pirates (nebpirates.com) Here are a few pics that I thought I would share. I decided to wear a mask that I had reworked and blinged out because I didn't want to get up at 3:00 am like last time just to paint and rhinestone my face. I was quite nervous and worried that people wouldn't like the mask and would prefer the painted face style instead but thankfully everyone had really great positive feedback about the mask.

I think I like the mask better too. ;)

Thank you everyone! I'm glad you all like it. I can't take full credit though, my hubby did help. He made the 'bones' on the fins for me and painted them and he also makes all my monofins. He's quite a talented pirate. Here's a pic of both of us at the event with a fellow crew member. I don't do zombies, not a big fan but he decided since it's a horror type event, he really wanted to be a Zombie Pirate! Ew. No mermaid kisses for him! Well...we really couldn't with our masks on, although we did try once and yeeeeah it looked quite awkward. LOL! Anyways, all in all we had a blast! :pirate:

That's awesome, and your mask is AMAZING. Not that I don't like the face paint in the first pic, but the mask just really gives your whole ensemble that little extra something and makes it that much more surreal. LOVE IT.

Thank you! Yes, I totally love the mask better too! The mask makes it much easier and will make it a more available costume to appear in. My main reason for not bringing this one out again since the first time was because I didn't want to do that make up and the rhinestones again. With the mask, it's so much easier! :p
