New To The Big Blue Sea

Hi guys! First off, I apologize in advance for any lack of knowledge I have for the Mercommunity! I've always loved mermaid stuff growing up, but since it never really went farther then dreaming about growing a tail, I never really got immersed in the whole ordeal. To be honest, I didn't even know there was a community until quite recently! I do really want my own tail in the future, and I am very interested in becoming a professional mermaid, but right now I neither have the money or know-how about any of this stuff. So in the mean time, I would really appreciate it if anybody could give me some pointers and show me around this new world I have stumbled into. Any information is helpful, and I certainly wouldn't mind making any new friends, as well! :)

Welcome! The best place to start is with the pinned/sticky threads at the top of the sub forums. Just read up and look for answers to questions before you ask because odds are it's been answered lots of times :) hope you enjoy it here

What MerHopefully said! Just start reading. Also if you do get to the point where you want to be a professional mermaid, get Raina's book and read all the awesome info she's provided. http://rainamermaid.blogspot.com/

As for making friends, you've joined a pod, so that'll help. If you haven't found it yet there's a "Member Map" tab at the top, you can map yourself, & find other's near you.

Thanks! :) I pretty much spent like two or three hours reading stuff I've found here, and have a pretty good idea of where I want to start now. I just need to get some money so I can get a monofin and start practicing. :)
