Monofin Shape

Hi all!

I have decided I want my Finis Wave to be more fish like, so I drew some patterns...

Started cutting with dress maker's scissors (I know terrible choice of scissors, I will get proper ones on Thursday when its late night shopping!), is the shape ok? Or will it crack? Do I drill a hole in the centre regardless of how the shape is? The shape is the purple line.

I think the shape is fine ^_^

I cut mine as pictured and it doesn't have a hole drilled and it's held up perfectly fine after many swims

Thnx Ilyena! I was abit worried as I read thru some of the pages on the Monofin section, and the shape I chosen wasn't shown, so I wasn't sure what to do.

There is a potential cracking point in the middle. You might want to make your cut in a curve, not a sharp angle.

There is a curve in the middle, maybe not so obvious in the photo. I'll make it a deeper curve once I get near the middle to cut it.

That post wasn't there when I last posted >_<. Since those pictures were taken over a year ago I had drilled a hole in the center (about 2 months ago after reading a few things on here), was just mentioning that it held up for months even without it being curved ^_^
