Hi! I don't have a mer name, or any tails, etc- I want to get some, but... I'm just graduating highschool on the 27th, and then starting college (I think in the fall?) so that seems far off.
I've liked the whole mermaid/mermen thing since I was... 15?- And I saw a gif on tumblr. I had no idea it was even a thing before then, but since I saw that gif, I was infatuated. I love how smooth and fast the swimming looks, and there's always something... idk how to put it, romantic, I guess?- about mermaids swimming underwater.
My boyfriend is into this as well, so if we start doing something with it, we'd probably be a team...
Uhm... idk what else to say, tbh... I know the brands Mertailor and Merbella, I like them both on facebook, they always have gorgeous pics, and I think my first tail will be from one of them.
So..... yeah.... hi.

Hello and welcome!!! I have a tail being made by Mernation right now and they are wonderful. If you are looking to get a tail just to get you by until you can afford a silicone tail, try looking at fabric tails that Mertailor or fin fun mermaids. I have a fin fun and it was a great fabric tail and monofin to get started with!!! Good luck and can't wait to see updates!!!

Hi! I am also new, and just wanted to say that your name is beautiful! It's actually similar to a mermaid name I'm considering for myself (Ianthe). If you don't decide on a different name, I think "Mermaid Ianthina" would be lovely :)
