Contacts?

I wear contacts, does that mean I have to wear goggles all the time? Any other bad sighted mers out there? Do you just go blind and hope you don't run into anything? LOL

What I do is either wear goggles or just swim with my eyes closed. Swims are usually spur-of-the-moment things for me, so I never really have time to go take out my contacts. 'Sides, I have one of those solutions where you have to keep the contacts in for six hours of they start burning your eyes.

I go blind, but mostly I wear glasses since I'm scared of using contacts n things like that, and something happening. (Somehow burning them to my eye, something going wrong with them. Seriously, one time I got into a pool that had bleach in it from having the pool cages cleaned. No one warned me until I complained about burning eyes and a weird smell?! Thanks guys!) I'm a very paranoid person in some senses, so I think glasses are better for me, as much as I'd like to get rid of these things on somedays. I can see pretty clearly underwater, but not as good as others I'd guess. The doc says my eyes are getting a bit better ^_^

I heard that if you go without anything for awhile your eyes can actually correct themselves a bit, not sure how true that is but I am crossing my fingers hehe.

There are exercises you can do to train the muscles in your eyes - trying to see underwater can help there was a study done of the mokken people who can see clear as day underwater due to generations of them living on the sea and freediving for food - tests were carried out on European kids and they showed a significant improvement in their vision !

I've mostly figured out how to move the muscles. I realized that one day while swimming and noticed I could read things written on the walls of the pool that were underwater. Pfff.
