Shelling, and shark teeth!

Does anyone else like yo go shelling or shark tooth hunting?

I am obsessed, LOL. It's like a little treasure every time you find a good one. Yesterday I found a beautiful whelk. It was still occupied and let me tell you, having a sea snail poke it's cute blue eyes at you is fascinating! They were like, perfect little eyeballs on stems. I even got a picture of one! Will have to post it. I put the pretty little thing back in the waves. Oh and I found live baby sand dollars! To cool!

I go shelling whenever I go to the beach. It's super fun. I've glued shells onto small boxes so you can put jewellery and other small things in them. It's a good way to use them since I have too many shells to know what to do with.

Where in Florida are you? I understand that Venice Beach is very good for hunting fossilized shark teeth. Never been there myself, so I can't personally vouch for it though.

Yes, Venice area is great of shark's teeth. Come on over!
I live to go out and hunt for them here - wish I had a mermaid buddy!

Venice is where I go! We are about an hour and a half away from there, but I don't mind driving. Honestly it is not that far for a fun day at the beach. I once found 78 in 1 day. My Father in Law found a half of a Megladon tooth and my husband found a big one as well. I live closer to Weeki Wachee. Anytime anyone wants to get together I am more then willing!

Went shelling yesterday and found some Great shells AND a Geode! The Geode was attached to a larger stone and I brought it all home because I could see some of the sparkle. I took a hammer to it and it cracked right off, then I split it in half and poof! Sparkles! Can't wait to go back to the beach to try and find more!
