Ok so i am already super excited for this :)
For my senior year in AP art class i have been assigned to create 10 pieces of art which work together as a whole over the summer. So this was my chance to have a reason to present to my parents about making my mermaid tail. in this thread i will post ll sorts of stuff for my own organization of things and my portfolio. my parents are still skeptic but i will convince them. The first part "shell bra" is already finished i will only need to fixate the colors! pictures coming sooon ^^

I just got an email saying my FinFun monofin was shipped...well it will actually ship on 7/7...but I was wondering what size box yours came in so I know what size box my boss should be expecting for me.

It was a like 1/2meter by 1/2 meter square if that helps :)

Yes I was all actually but I works great!! Has a nice flow and speed. But shifts around sometimes. I already have solution for that which I will post asap.
I'm still skeptical about the boyency of it inside a neoprene tail. But other wise its fantastic. The size seems to be pretty good although I though it small at first.

Had a little freedive "accident" while swim practice today. We had a diving competition (which I won) but stupid me used hyperventilation now I have a headache and am sick and I can't keep working on my tail. I deserved it though 😞

Sounds like a reverse sinus squeeze. Try Valsalvia technique to see if it clears.

Darn cold water. Careful of those cold water cramps. I got one when swimming in a chilly pool after a few days of rain. The cramp was no fun.

I dont cramp easily because I also ice dive so im used to it but I just wasn't equipped for the temperature and coudnt dive for very long

about how many sequins did you use and how many did you order?

Hmm good question I had to reorder and buy sequins about 8 times because I underestimated it. I'm not shure exactly how many but I got alot haha. It always depends on you individual tail. To calculate how much you'll need. Measure a rectangle around your fabric pattern touching all the edges(fluke tips, top rim etc) and then calculate the area of that in cm^2 and that's how many sequins you will need +some extra
