Dorsal Fins?

I am new to the Mermaid world and i am making my very first tail, I was wondering if their was a certain way to make a dorsal fin. Help?:$

Raayvhen is right. If you build a fabrictail is the best way to build the fins with fabric and maybe a core.
but if you build a siliconetail, than looks it better if the dorsal fins made of silicone.
