Hi Everyone!
I wanted to post the information about the cancer benefit pool party I mentioned in a previous thread. I will be there as a volunteer mermaid (hopefully in my new FinFolk tail!) taking photos with people both days. It would be great if we had more Mers there and the FOE pool is so amazing it was named one of the best pools in Dallas by the Dallas Observer: http://www.dallasobserver.com/bestof/2010/award/best-pool-1929878/

This is a poolside benefit for one of our Dallas Burlesque stars, Lola LaRue (https://www.facebook.com/lola.larue.7). We are trying to help her pay for every day life expenses like rent, utility bills and food while taking Chemotherapy for Lymphoma as she cannot currently work as either a nurser (her day job) or a burlesque performer.
The Dallas Fraternal Order of Eagles 3108 (https://www.facebook.com/DallasFOE3108), have been so kind as to give us an entire weekend to run concssions at thier pool and donate ALL the money to help Lola Larue out.
Saturday August 16th and Sunday August 17th, we will have local Burly Q volunteers manning the outside grill, prepping your buns, and serving you up a plate of generosity, all in the name of LOLA! All proceeds from concession sales that weekend will directly benefit Lola!
Family friendly poolside fun, food, with special guests (Mermaids!) that will be on hand to make this weekend very special !
If you have never been to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Dallas, it has one of the most preferred pools in Dallas (small cover to get in) with officially the coldest pool water in town, and it is gonna be hot that day! F.O.E. has great air conditioned indoor facilities with a fully stocked bar and games, as well as two outdoor bars (they added a brand new bar this year!). For the family, there is a sweet kiddie pool, a small play area, and picnic facilities. The FOE also boasts a huge volleyball area for even more fun!
