Well, im actually new into the Mer bussiness. This network was recommended to me by mermaid Narina and im looking for people tips on this.
Im now on the look for a mermaid/merman tail online at a good price.
If anyone knows something good, please reply

I think myself, along with many others, will recommend you either start out with a fabric tail. I personally started out with a Marina magictail, yes, I was lazy about names, loved the name, and was like okay here's my mermaid name! Anyway, fin fun, magictail, I'm not very sure about all the fabric tails out there, but I'm just throwing out my 2 cents.

Or you can buy fabric of your choice and make it yourself. You can search, "mermaid swim tails", the results shown will be mostly young girls in tails. Check them all out cos some of them do make adult tails too.

Nothing wrong with that! There are plenty of mermen in our community! And the same suggestions go to you as to the mermaids, I highly suggest to start with a fabric tail! Finfun has some really cool fabric tails:)

I would start with a fabric tail and make sure that you are comfortable. They have some really nice fabric tails that look nice and have a great price tag. After swimming in my fabric tail from Fin Fun I decided to take the plunge and got a full silicone tail and it should be here in a few weeks!!!
We do have plenty of mermen and they are all wonderful and great to talk to!!

Gotta go 100% with Chrissy here. I also have a FinFun, and also took the plunge to get a silicone tail that should be here in a few weeks as well. Spend less now, make sure you like it to begin with.

One question to ask yourself, John, is 'What do I want to do with my tail?' I am definitely a recreational mer, love to swim in my FinFun tails, no plans on becoming a paid mermaid entertainer, so fabric is great! It is inexpensive, which allows me to satisfy my love of having different colors (though I am primarily a goldfish at heart!), it travels easily (I have family in VT/NH and my husband's family has a house on Cape Cod, so I want to bring my tail to swim in all of those places!), low maintenance and it is easy to put on. If you are thinking about becoming a paid mer entertainer (birthday parties, ren faires, reading to kids, or whatever), I would still start with fabric, but start saving for a more realistic tail. There are some really good new silicone or latex tailmakers out there, who are not quite as expensive as the top-of-the-line artists. Welcome to the watery world! :)
