I know from talking to many of you, many of us grew up on Sailor Moon! I know she was a super inspiration to me as a kid, and I can still remember when the first episodes in English aired. It was so awesome seeing female superheros! Anyway, I wanted to drop the link for where to watch the new show: Sailor Moon Crystal. Just finished watching the first epsiode myself~ I love it so far. It's just different enough from the classic anime to stay interesting and I like that they're sticking more to the manga. It seems like it's heavily influenced by Utena in the title cards and commercial break screens which I love. My only issue is the use of the 3D models in the transformation scene and opening sequence. But that's a common thing in modern anime now, so I'm not surprised. I just love traditional animation so much more~

I'm seriously losing my little mind! 17 years of waiting has finally come to fruition! Sailor Moon is back, and looking better than ever! I'm such a big fan of the manga, so this is such a special treat for me. The 1 episode every 2 weeks is going to be excruciating to wait for, but after all this time I think I'll live.

Shawn: Oh my gods, the wait is going to be deadly. DX There's only 26 (I think...maybe 24? Something around there) episodes planned though, so I guess it's okay that they're releasing it kind of slowly. I don't want it to be over so soon!

Actually he worked as host so it fits it's how Usagi figured out he was tuxedo mask so it follows the comics well. That's just my opinion though

I'm a HUGE fan of Sailor Moon! Usagi is one of my favourite characters! ^_^ I started reading the manga when I was about 12- I grew up in the country and the nearest comic store was a 7 hour drive away in the city, haha! The anime I only saw sporadically because the channel it was on had really weak signal, so I could only see it during summer when the wind was blowing Northerly! lol! I still prefer the manga, so this new series makes me SO happy!!

ok guys i have a serious situation here. super serious. i cant decide if i should binge watch the original series or if i should be patient with this excruciating wait. I havent seen the original anime and i did just watch ep 1. what do you all think? I dont want to ruin the plot or something.... or... idk what would you guys do?

Oh man, you have to watch the original! It's pretty long and there's a lot of filler, but I think it'll set you up for what to expect in the new series. I feel like you should know your roots. :p Have you read the manga at all?

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who doesn't exactly love the techniques of animation they choose for the transformation scenes. I have a few of the early comics and a few of the Shonen Jumps that contained Sailor Moon. However I'm sure you'd be able to find it online to read all the way through. I've been watching it on Hulu. This brings up so many memories, haha. Sailor Moon was the first tv series I really watched - until I found Dragonball Z. xD

It's really cool how they're working on staying close to the manga this round, though. That's got a lot of my friends happy.

Just got my bestie all hooked on sailor moon :D she watched it in Japanese as a kid and she was hesitant to watch it now because it's "dumb" but she couldn't resist once I started playing it :)

Oh man! I did the SAME THING! It was a race between my little brother & I to get to the TV first. He loved DBZ but occasionally I'd catch him watching BSSM too, but he would never admit it.

When I found out about this reboot & the remastering of the original series, I squeeeeeeeeed for hours! My boyfriend was all, "WTH? You never squee like that for me." The pouting was kinda adorable.

I immediately started researching this & am totally STOKED! I am really excited that they're using new voice actors & I am so THRILLED that they finally licensed the rights for the Stars season! And no cuts! Now I'll be able to watch it in GOOD quality & not a fan-subbed staticy VHS! I feel like a nine-year-old again. [emoji1]

The new series is good. I've even got my boyfriend hooked.

....now to get him hooked on Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon (live action show)...

I've been a fan since childhood, my favorite senshi (well, the SM:Crystal is calling them guardians in the sub, so I'll call them that too) has always been Sailor Venus/Minako because she's amazing and everything I wish I could be. I feel like I'm more like Sailor Uranus/Haruka though.

I've been re-watching the entire series on Hulu since they started putting up 2 eps a week and I haven't seen Crystal yet. I'm being patient. I have 3 more episodes to go and I can't wait until Monday when I can watch eps 198 and 199. The wait. It's killing me! Really looking forward to binge-watching Sailor Moon Crystal soon!

I've been keeping myself sane (Well, sort of) waiting for the last episodes by re-watching the subtitled first and second seasons and comparing them to the english dubs. I find it hilarious that they ever tried to make Sailor Uranus and Neptune cousins! They fooled nobody. Not a single person was fooled by that. I'm happy I'm having the chance to fill in the gaps and learn more about the original, and I'm also drooling over the manga boxed sets that I don't own yet.
