Hello everyone,

I'm Saleana. I've liked mermaids for the majority of my life. When I was about 5 I saw The Little Mermaid live in Walt Disney world. It was such an awesome live show! I remember one scene when the actress is on a "beach" and it's raining and the audience was misted with water from above - hugely interactive and made me want to be Ariel.

Fast forward to now (I'm 22) and I received a copy of the Mermaid Issue of Faerie Magazine, to which I subscribe and it brought back all those hopes of someday being a mermaid. Now that I realized I can make it happen I'm trying to learn all I can before I get a monofin and then I'll make my first tail. I haven't had anything like this happen - where I see something in a magazine and then on youtube and then all over the internet and NEED to make it happen in my life.

I can't wait to get my fin and tail going and I'm very excited to be here with all you welcoming mers.

Thanks!

Hi Saleana. Welcome to the forum. There's a lot of info here about becoming a mermaid, a lot of free tutorials too.

I've written a book about becoming a pro mermaid, start to finish. There's a thread about it here: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?4344-Fishy-Business-How-to-be-a-Mermaid if you go to the last page there are the current discount codes ;)

I also have a lot of free resources built right into my website, and I run workshops: http://halifaxmermaids.weebly.com/how-to-be-a-mermaid.html

Best fishes, you're on your way!
