Back after a swimmingly spiritual ocean experience!

Hello fellow mers,

I posted awhile back that I was leaving the mermaid community due to harassment I had received at work after I was "outed" and the loss of a job due to said outing. I sold my Man O War tail back to the AMAZING ladies at Finfolk, and I honestly didn't think I would ever be back after such a horrible time. However, I just returned from my first ever blue water SCUBA trip to the island of Utila off the coast of Honduras. I lived for a week there on island time (so wonderfully therapeutic) and have plans to return for a couple of months next summer. There I connected with the ocean in the most amazing way and found myself missing my happy-go-lucky mermaid self. As I swam with nurse sharks and eagle rays and moray eel and turtles and squid and octopi (Oh yes, and a WHALE SHARK!) I realized that I'm a mermaid at heart. I really do love that underwater world! Therefore I am going to be easing back into it. I probably won't ever do parties or events again and I don't plan to save up for another silicone tail, but I will definitely be making myself a fabric tail and returning to the water!

It is tricky. I had a similar professional experience early on that devistated me and almost made me quit. I know the fear my dear. Here to talk if you need ideas for getting around it

I remember that tail being one of the prettiest I'd ever seen.
But you don't need a tail to be a mer. And fabric tails can be just as great for swimming :)
