"Coming Out" Terms for Mers?

Ya know how LGBT folks have "coming out of the closet" and vamps have coming out of the coffin and witches (wiccans, maybe?) have "coming out of the broom closet"? Wouldnt it be nice if Mers had some kind of terminology to describe revealing their Mer lifestyle to their family and friends?
I came up with, like, two:
Coming Up To The Surface
Coming Out Of The Ocean
But idk :P what do you guys think? Is there already some kind of phrases for this already? *and excuse if this thread posted twice, ive been having trouble with the forum today and idk if its just me*

we had one thread like this but it was more like "how have you 'come out' to friends and family" and not so much "do we have a special term for us mermaids"

I'd suggest "coming out of the water closet" but that would mean something else entirely :P

I've thought about this but then I dont want to undermine or take away from what LGBQTA people go through coming out by making it a mermaid thing too.
