(Sold!) Possibly Selling My Handmade Silicone Tail

Hello everyone,

However, I will be moving in two weeks and I'm not going to have space to work on this tail anymore. I'm looking to sell it, but it does have some flaws (it was my first attempt, after all). Pictures below. It should probably be repainted (I did not have access to a working airbrush system or the time to paint it by hand like some of the other tailmakers here on mernetwork), so the colors are a bit abrupt. There are a couple of tiny holes in the fluke where a child decided to pick at it (I only noticed AFTER he'd done some damage, ugh), and one of the seams at the waist is a bit gunky.

It is made of pure Dragonskin Silicone, no caulking, latex, etc. There is a trimmed, off-brand Competitor monofin in the fluke, but the straps on the footpockets were cut-off. It swims just fine if you wear neoprene booties or thick socks.

I'm currently traveling right now, so I don't have the exact dimensions, but I will be able to put them up by Tuesday of next week if anyone is interested.

I really, really love this tail, but with my new living situation it won't be able to get the loving attention it needs. It swims beautifully, feels amazing to wear, and children love it. I truly want someone to be able to enjoy it as much or more as I do. If you're interested at all, let me know!

The patch of white scales above the feet has since been painted gold.

I'm asking about $1000, to cover the cost of time and materials. I'm open to negotiations though.

The only way to paint silicone is with more silicone. You would need to purchase some Dragonskin, but then you can use whatever method you'd like to actually paint it; airbrush, paintbrush, spongebrush, etc.

5'9", almost 5'10". It's ALL in my legs, they're very long. I have to sit with my legs bent up under the steering wheel when I drive, otherwise my arms won't reach the wheel to drive! XD

I am an awkward human being XD They're not thaaaaat long, part of it's also my torso. I CAN reach the steering wheel while sitting normally, but then I have to hold my arms straight out in front of me, and that hurts after a while. If I want to bend my arms or rest my elbow on my leg, I have to move the seat wayyy close up.

I believe it was a Waterway and it fits anywhere from a size 8 to 10. The straps on the heels were cut off, so it could technically fit larger feet, and if you wear socks or booties, it works with smaller feet.

Columbus! About 3 hrs away. We're still pretty new to this website and the whole mermaid thing. We have tails and are working on some coloring for the white one. But my friend, Elle is 5'3", but she has a longer torso…I know she has hourglass measurements (I think the last time we measured it was 20", 18", 20".) We can't buy your tail, though it would help us out a lot here. Business is slow.

I have a friend who has been in the market for a silicone tail and your price is just above what she's saved so far. Is there any way you can take your measurements in the tail? The only measurements we have are of her from a seamstress so they are circumference and not flat.

If you divide her circumference by two, or multiply my measurements by two, you'll have your answer. :3

For instance, flat, the ankle measurement is 8". That means that if her ankles are about 16" around, she'll fit perfectly.
