Hey! I just finished my final design for my spandex tail (I know, lame, but I thought I can at least paint it a bit), and I was wondering about how to make a cheap monofin. I really like floppy tails, and I don't need a whole lot of propulsion. In another thread Pearliemae said a rubber mat might work. I thought, if I got a stiffer rubber mat, and attached Finis Zoomers to it for the foot pockets, it would look alright. Are there any flaws in my plan that I haven't thought of? Does anybody have any tips on what to use to attach the zoomers to the mat?

Fabric tails are the bomb diggity! They're light and easy to bring with you and easy to clean and get on and off. Don't think that since it's cheaper it's not as good! I got tons of complements on my homemade fabric tail the last time I wore it out. Not lame at all :) anyways you could try to connect them with nuts and bolts. I think they make plastic ones that would work.

Good to know. Thank you! By the way, is the tail in your pic a silicone? I really love it! :)
