So, I don't know why this hit me but while I was sitting in my car I had a thought.
Who remembers the "frostbite" nail trend? You know the one that Lords did at one of the award shows...the black polish up to her first finger joint with a matte finish on her nail.
Well, I was thinking this could be a different style for mermaids to use. What do you think?
(Pictured are 3 colors I have that would go with my tails.)

Definitely! I've done a lot of mer-style nail designs! I fun one that I did for a costume party once had a green to gold gradient on the nail, and I found some polish that was like a sparkly version of my EXACT skin colour. I blended that polish down onto my skin a bit, and then slowly mixed some foundation into the polish until it has completely gone away. I added tiny little fish scales from the top of my nail down about half way down my first knuckle. It would make a lot more sense if you saw it lol. That might be my morning activity :)

Sounds pretty but a picture would be even better.

I honestly find doing anything with my nails useless. The effort it takes to get into a tail often breaks, chips, or peels polish off or damages your tail. and then being in chlorine will often peel the nail polish too. I use to try to do fun things but now I just don't bother because it doesnt last lol. I think it's a neat idea but I dont think nail polish is skin safe. your skin cant breathe through it. It be like smearing acrylic paint on yourself. I think it's better to use a skin safe paint /body paint on your actual fingers.
