So after moving to Florida from Seattle, I completely lost my singing voice to allergies. My breath capacity has been drastically reduced, and nasality and other nasty singing issues just wouldn't go away and it hurt to sing. I'm a classically trained musical theatre singer, so this was devastating to me. Since I've purchased a tail, I've been working my... well, tail off to get my voice back so I can sing for the kiddos. I recorded this because it is the FIRST TIME IN 3 YEARS it almost sounds like my real voice again! A couple botched words, notes, and still breathing issues (you can hear how out of breath I am) but hopefully by the time my tail comes in September, I can sing anything the little ones want! <3
Enjoy!

For being able to get that much of your singing voice back, I think that sounds great!

Do you have a good vocal therapist? I'm also a singer, and after my voice started going wonky, I went to a vocal therapist. He went with me to a laryngologist he knows. It turns out I have laryngopharyngeal reflux, which is just murder on your vocal cords. I made some dietary changes, got that under control, and have continued with the same vocal coach. He has improved my singing voice dramatically!
BTW, I also sing "Part of Your World." LOVE that song!

I used to take singing lessons, and on the occasion (when I blacked out) drew an audience and surprised my teacher. But I couldn't afford to continue to do so while saving up to pay for college.
I'm really happy that you are getting your singing voices back. That's great :D
