Sensible Mermaid Accessories--Is there a market?

I am thinking of opening a shop on Etsy called Sensible Mermaid, where I would sell "sensible" items like goggles, swim caps, weight belts, tail pockets, and warm/comfortable neoprene tops all dolled up to look mertastic (rather than somewhat dorky, LOL), mostly using silicone. It seems to me that you ought to be able to comfortably be a mermaid and still look awesome! I am already working on some of the products above, just for myself, and was wondering whether there would be any interest if I got some products out there?

I'd definitely be interested in the goggles! I prefer not to open my eyes in chlorine, so since I'm in the pool more than salt or fresh water I'd love to have a pair!

I think this a great idea! I've been working on decorating my own goggles, and in many ways, these sorts of practical accessories can actually enhance one's mer look.

I am actually making a weight belt right now (like the trial version is curing this moment!) The first one is going to be silicone seashells (soft on the body and hard to break) on a thin decorative strap with a velcro safety release. Hopefully i will have pictures soon (assuming this test run comes out well!) :)
