First Tail!!

Starting on my first tail today! End result should be a light blue fabric tail that my mom's going to help me with. So far I have my pattern and my monofin ( with tape extensions) done and I have all my materials! ^^ admittedly it doesn't look too secure BUT I will be going over it again. ...I just kinda ran out of tape.

Good luck! That's a great idea for making a monofin. Will it be a swimmable tail?

It'll be swimmable yeah (provided everything goes well, ^^' ). The monofin extension actually came from searching through the forums for ways to give the fabric fluke a better shape. I saw that several other people had used tape for it and thought I'd give it a try.

is it cardboard on the inside by any chance? that could cause problems

I honestly started with a paper pattern but that was for the shape only and the end result was JUST tape on tape.

I'll be adding more tape on it later to make it stiffer and more durable

It would help to add some plastic zip ties as support ;)
