Just a quick question about neoprene-

do you prefer the back of it (the side that you he's your legs) to be raw neoprene, or backed with nylon?

thanks!!

(Hmmm why is Kishiko asking about neoprene? Who knows...:thinks:)

My experience- Nylon against your skin. Neoprene can be scratchy.

Neoprene when it's made is kinda like sour dough bread, after they slice it to make sheets it leave bubble holes on the surfaces. Generally when you buy it, your choices are with nylon on one side or both. They do make a versions where instead of nylon they uses a sheet of smooth rubber. It's the Nylon that your thread holds, neoprene rips out.
My dive suit has a pile nylon on the inside to work as insulation. If you swim in pools or the suns on it for long periods of time this stuff dries out and gets really-really scratchy.

Can't wait to see what your making.

Oh and you can't really paint the neoprene rubber btw ;)

I just ordered some neoprene sheets from foamorder.com for my new tail. I opted for yellow nylon on both sides, figuring if there were a flaw or some other problem with one side, I could just use the other side.
