Ok so if you dident see my last thread I am makeing a latex or silicone(don't know yet) and neoprene lined tail. Now I am doing this form of making said tail http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?3838. I think this will be easy ......but I just wanted to know how would I do my fluke? I want to form the majority of the fluke with the silicone or latex to make the floppy look I want to make a sting Ray fluke like mermaid Melissa's I want it to turn out somewhat like this photo http://fc08.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/356/f/6/mermaid_melissa_underwater_by_mermaidmelissallc-d4juy5w.jpg

That one looks hand sculpted. If you're doing the slip casting method you just cut the fluke pattern you want out of neoprene and then you do it the same as the rest of the tail.
For more structure you could sew irrigation tubing in the sides of the fluke.
Let me see if I can find an example of what I'm talking about...
Kinda like this: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?8059-%26%239836%3B-Mermaid-Akiko-s-Lame-O-Neoprene-Latex-Adventure-%26%239836%3B/page2

Usually the monofin is just stuck in between the fabric and then glued in place.

So if I did that would I be albke to craft a Bigger fluke around it? So I get a floppy ripe look?

Yeah. In that thread you can see Mermaid Citrine's tails done that way.

Just remember, it won't be as floppy as the one in the picture because that one is pure silicone and doesn't have any fabric in it. Just remember to be realistic in your expectations.
