So far in being a mermaid the most challenging part has been setting a price for things that seems both reasonable and fair but doesn't stick you in the mud. I don't want to sound money hungry but I know most people don't realize the time and cost we put into these things. That being said The new endeavor here is starting in on the production of a portable tank, but as in the beginning when I had no idea what to charge I have no idea what the going cost for tank performances is seeing as Colorado doesn't have it available ( Yet. BTW yes I know I'm nuts as Colorado doesn't have a super long summer window) Thoughts? Opinions?

Well if you're the only one you can set the price!

I like the way you think ;) I plan to set my own price but in the chance we decide to travel any where else or we move I don't want to undercut anybody. And I also am not sure where to start. Obviously price of gas for transporting tank and a charge for if a water truck has to come in and fill it. I can't image the water bill of some one filling it at their house :money:

Well I think once you get going you'll be able to adjust the price too. Just don't let worry about price slow you down :)

True enough. We plan on moving forward of course since you gotta get out there some how :D The idea of a tank is fun and exciting but also a huge undertanking for figuring out storage for it as well as everything else.
stupid question, but how big of a tank are you looking at building?

you need to cover: insurance (you absolutely should have a tank insured), cost of maintenance, cost of travel, cost of water or make it part of the clients responsibility, and then cost of your time. Factor all those things in.

Thanks Raina. Those have been things we've been figuring in. I think for private events clients will pay part of the water.
