Mermaid Ilari Mae

I'm Alesha, or Ally. I'm going to be going as Ilari Mae (since there's several Lorelei's :P). I'm from the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area. I'm 22. I'm disabled. I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, hypermobility type, along with a few other things. I travel with my soon to be husband (we're getting married next month!) around the state and some of the surrounding states with his 80's cover band. :P I love to craft things, love to read, write, send letters/craft packages and be social when I'm able.
I've always had a dream in the back of my head to be a mermaid. Especially after meeting Ariel in Orlando. :P When I was little, my room was ocean themed, and we've had a pool even before I was born. I was and still am a total water baby :P It's also the best exercise I can do without putting strain on my body. As I got older, I lost many loved ones and I got sick (which lead to my diagnoses.) I pushed that dream to the back of my head, until I had a dream about a year ago about working with sick and dying children in the hospital that helped me get to where I am today. I hold that hospital close to my heart, as does my family.
I've only told a few people about my dream, because I always get the same "what the hell" look.
I am a bit nervous about even starting out, because I have multiple tattoos and piercings.
Anyway! I don't want to be too wordy or depressing :P
I can't wait to start this wonderful journey :3
