Hey folks! Some of you know I offer workshops online and in person. I gave some at NCMerfest, and locally, and I stream them online and also sell copies.
In the past I did a workshop on starting up a mermaid business, sustaining it, and adding to it ( you can see the thread for that one here: http://mernetwork.com/index/showthread.php?7645-Online-Workshop-The-Fishy-Business-of-Being-a-Mermaid/page2 ) I also did a workshop on working with children (you can purchase a copy of it here: http://www.anymeeting.com/PIID=EA55D687894831 )
My workshops are 2 hours long. they have a chat bar where everyone can discuss and add questions, I can show a powerpoint, photos, videos, documents, webcam and sometimes can do screen sharing. Keep that in mind.
I am wondering what else people would like to see in terms of workshops for the fall/winter?
I was thinking I'd do a workshop on the nitty gritty of social networking and utilizing it as a mermaid. It would show how to use all the main sites (facebook fan pages, instagram, tumblr, twitter, youtube etc), how to use all the settings, understand your analytic, get more traffic, safety etc. and where applicable: how to make money off them (like youtube)
I was also thinking of doing a basic workshop on basic mermaid photography/underwater photography, and basic video/photo editing utilizing all free on the web programs. To enable mers to get good photos and videos without always having to hire someone, or to help them get enough content to at least
Keeping in mind the limitations I listed above in regards to my delivery method... what types of workshops would you find most helpful? Larger topics work best, as smaller ones like "how do I put on a tail? makeup? clean" etc I've already covered for free on my vlogs. Thanks!
