Hey guys, I'm at the stage where I'm almost done with my first latex tail, and I need to put the channels in for the fluke to drain. I have a Rapid monofin inside. I watch all of Julz' videos and a few others but I'm still confused! Where should I position the channels and how many? I have a bunch of teeny mini-plastic drinking straws (bigger than a coffee stirrer but maybe half the diameter of an actual straw) and I thought flattening them a bit and cutting them small to insert as channels might be beneficial.

Any help is appreciated!

Flattening straws makes for weaker support. Like paper, once you bend it, it'll fold more easily? Not sure if this helps. I've never created my own tail except with fabric but why not put the drainage pipes in then take them out after as to make actual small drainage holes without the holes having weak spots?
