One of the aspects of this design that I am very excited about is. The marking that go around back. They are going to be airbrushed over the scales to look also like a tribal tattoo or birthmark/marking. I find this very unique to my design so please please PLEASE don't steal the idea.

Anywho, ho, ive basically ordered everything I need, I'll just need to pick up some denim needles and lube for the needle while I sew.

I ordered my Neoprene from hookloopoutlet.com (http://ww.hookloopoutlet.com) if you're looking for somewhere less expensive these guys are a good option as they offer free shipping. I ordered sky blue neoprene in 3mm (Yes I know I'm a masochist, but I HATE LEG OUTLINES) I have also developed a way to integrate a concealed weight around the fluke area to help counter act the buoyancy along with one in the thigh area.

I'm also using Wicked paints by createx, which are automotive grade and weather resistant airbrush paints. I am going to be painting my tail with my airbrush and a row stencil (I'm using my 1.5" circle punch to make a strip of "scales" using card stock to paint each row.) I want to get that nice gradient effect, thus the reason I'm using my airbrush.

Im going to be doing some testing with different materials, but basically I'm going to use an adhesive to "fill the seam" smooth it out, and then paint over it. There's also a seam tape you can use for neoprene but it's black so that wouldn't blend well with my tail. Through analyzing videos of others who own seamless tails, that's the best idea I have of how others create them. It was an original idea I dreamt up, and then noticed it in other tails (:

Yup yup yup! It says in the description it can be used on fabric so it should be fine, it's basically the same as createx paint!

Really excited to see how yours turns out. One if my first tails was a seamless neoprene tail. They take quite a while to make. I suggest doing your seams a little bit at a time. If you've got any questions, go ahead and message me

Thanks I definitely will! I'm scared to start the seams cause I don't want to mess them up!!

Do some practice seams on scraps. And make sure you test them a LOT to make sure the glue will hold. I tested a lot of glues before finding one that would hold up

I ordered on the 11th and haven't heard anything either /: I sent them an email yesterday but haven't heard back. I know they actually do ship because that's where gem stone got hers, it much just take a realllyyyy long time

Well they'll probably charge after you get it. If you read the shipment policy it says they won't charge your card officially until it shops to you.

Oh so it turns out my neoprene actually shipped on the 13th which they never told me, and then got mad at me for sending a snippy email? They gave me the tracking number and got rude about being patient and where I can check my order status (which by the way the NEVER updated) it's supposed to be here today

So I've been painting my fluke this morning. It's going pretty well, right up until my air compressor started leaking water and my mom and I can't figure out how to open the drain valve thing. Keep in mind this is the worlds crappiest photo and is not true to color like at all lol

I think tieri's will be darker than mine ;) Mine is a bit more turquoise. So funny that theyre that similar though lol!
