Hi I'm Bethany, nice to meet y'all! I am so glad I found this forum. I have wanted to be a mermaid for a very long time. I have one concern though: I wear glasses all day. Would it be possible for me to swim (first without a tail since I don't know how to swim) without glasses? I am blind in one eye. I only use my left eye so I don't want to damage it.

Regarding swimming without glasses I believe they make prescription goggles.

Thanks for the welcome :) I am watching Mermaid Melissa and Mermaid Narina videos on YouTube. Maybe they've discussed the swimming without glasses or contacts. For regular swim, I can use goggles but if it's safe to do so, I am going to slowly stop wearing goggles once I get a tail but that will be a while down the road :)

Welcome, Unmasked Hearts and Adalira! Glad to have you aboard.

There have been several discussions about options for mermaids who need vision correction. Best way to find these threads is to put "goggles" and "glasses" in the Search box at the top of your browser window. I and several others use prescription goggles when swimming, and some of us actually decorate them to make them look very mermaidy.
