@_@
So I've been working on a book the last two weeks. A nod to the "Who would you end up with a [...]" quizzes I used to read as a teenager except with the option to actually effect the story. Yes, it is a choose your own adventure book.
However last night my mind gave me a pretty awesome mermaid themed one.
You're a mermaid, you grow a tail when you get wet, unless wearing this charm which gives you a slight suspension on it depending on how wet we're talking. You are living in a big house with your parents who have made a living as marine biologists and your two older sisters. You have this pool which has an escape route at the bottom that leads to the pond a little ways away from the house. Suddenly the house is swarmed by these unknown people. Your sisters get away but you don't. This scientist distracts people, but not before they know you're there, and you make a quick escape. Later with the help of friends in the area you are able to sneak back in to get your necklace.
But my brain gave a few blooming romance options and a few ideas how things could go.
And now I don't know if I should shelve the other one and work on this until completion, or try to do both as the creativity sees fit.
