So since I recently got my own tail, I'm finally able to go out in search of gigs. Because mermaid Bonnie is just the sweetest, she directed a couple of her clients to me while she is on maternity leave! My first gig is Saturday, so I realized that I really needed to get some accessories together really quickly.

It took me less than an hour to make my belt :)

i had some brown fishnet from michaels, and it was really rough and had all sorts of dyes in it so I soaked it in my sink for a little while.

after that, I let it dry and laid it out with some add-ons that I thought would be cool.2389023889

i cut it up into the shape I wanted, then sewed on a little bit more to make it long enough to wrap around my waist.23891

Finally I added on an old necklace of mine that has fake pearls and little silver chains. I sewed it in place and then I was done!!

ill prob add more fun stuff to it later once I have more time, feel free to leave suggestions :) I'll post some pics of my wearing it on Saturday

Caltuna and raayvhen, thanks :)

and rebekah, I don't really need a belt but I just wanted some more accessories because I don't have any other than jewlery.

Cool! You know you don't have to put up with stinky old fish nets right? You can buy new replacement nets from the fishing and tackle store.

That is gorgeous! I really love how you laid the pearl strand out! No doubt it will look good in the water, too!
