Aloha everyone, I just got back from Dragon Con 2014 where I learned about mermaiding (sp?) from Momilani Mermaid. I had so much fun wearing tail for the first time, I can't wait to do it again! Momilani suggested this website for finding people to swim with in Hawaii and other locations. Anyone interested in getting together to swim? Though I am relocating in November, I am thinking of getting a starter tail from fin fun to be able to enjoy the ocean while I'm still close. I'll be moving to Memphis, TN when I relocate, and would love to get together with any mers in the area as well. Any advice or gentle lessons about etiquette in this community would be much appreciated. Hope to make friends with all of you!

Aloha, Hawaii no ka oi!
In the forums there are many threads that over lap each other or they have parts of something your interested in.
If you click the FORUM on the grey-blueish banner, the page that comes up is the area most the action at. If you scroll down that page, on the right you'll see "Swimming in a Tail" you may find some of what your looking for.

Aloha

Hey doll, there are a bunch of us in Hawaii, specifically on Oahu, and we do pod swims and stuff. Coradion, Aubrie, Waikiki, Citrine, Storm, and Shelly are just some of us. On facebook it's the merfolk pod of hawaii and that's where we post all our swims. :-)

Welcome! I love Hawaii. Which island are you on? I visit my cousins in Kauai a lot.

Raayvhen, I've only visited Kauai once but it was beautiful, lots of lovely places to swim. I live on Oahu, would love to get up to Waimea before the big waves start in the fall.
