I was just wondering, I know we have some people who have personas of the Fae variety, I was just wondering if there are other people who have characters that they do?

I do fae, other than that I don't have any others at the moment.
I'm planning on having banshee, faun, and centaur personas at some point.

It's fairy cosplaying. It's like mermaiding but where we have tails, they have elegant wings

Oh okay. I don't really know what cosplay is. But that's interesting! I'm trying to learn :)

Cosplaying is dressing up like a certain character from a book, movie, comic, etc. It's lots of fun!
I do some cosplaying, but my fairy persona is my own creation.
The fairy in my profile pics is not related to any cosplay, but rather of my own design.

Cosplaying example: (sorry for the big picture)

23940

But on that topic I have a slight association with a cat (not furry, more humanoid with ears, tail/s, paws and fangs)

I have Agatha, I'm not sure what she is to be honest. I like to think of her as my tribute to the Scary Godmother. Part fairytale Witch part Fairytale Fairy Godmother. It's my Halloween persona that I take on for trick or treating, or, at least she was, my character I took on to do little demonstrations in classes about Halloween traditions. My last one I toned her down to cover Day of the Dead for this teacher at a school I was working at. It was fun.

Cosplaying I have Lucy/Nyu from Elfen Lied. Cosplay is an opportunity for people who love certain things to express it either for that story or a character. It's a way to pay tribute, to showcase crafting abilities, or to relax and just have fun like Halloween all the time.

I do! Fairy Moonfire. https://www.facebook.com/fairymoonfire?fref=ts you can go and look at photos. Mernetwork isn't letting me upload at the moment. :-/ Silly file sizes. I created the character as something else people can order for a party besides a mermaid. I really really really am in love with my ears.

I have some more characters.
I have a faun named Melia Anwarünya
I have a furry goat character named Kalea
I have a few msn/skype rp characters that I play a story with with a good friend in the US
I have a Star Wars character who is also called Azurin Luna who is a Twi'lek and a Sith Lord who is named Zirxes

I have so many characters I play it sometimes hard to keep track of them, but when I do play them, I love to be them

I do a lot of cosplay and living history and LARP.

I keep a little booklet of all my characters and their back stories, along with illustrations of them and an inventory of what belongs in their costume. It helps keep everything ordered for me.

This year in addition to finishing my tail I'm aiming to finish a Togruta cosplay. My mom is a HUGE Star Wars fan, and I think it'd be fun to go places with her in a correlating costume. I'm not into the Storm Trooper or TIE fighter stuff like she is, but a Togruta is right up my alley. My feet and hands are almost always orange anyways because of dance, lol, and the Togruta costume has the added benefit of almost already being in my closet because of a past living history stint that has a costume that is almost exactly like a Togruta dress so I can focus more on the prosthetic pieces for it, and devote the rest of my time on my new tail.

Oh, that sounds so cool, I hope you will take pictures of your Togruta costume when it's finished. I once wanted to make a twi'lek costume, but of what people said about my bodyshape I never continued with it, as I was afraid it would only embarash me.

Are you very skinny and bony? I would say even in that case it still shouldn't be such a problem to have the costume. After all, it's just a costume. You could just really play off the slave-twi'lek instead of being a starfarer twi'lek or an affluent one if that's the case.

No, I'm what they call chubby here, it always looks as if I'm pregnant too, which isn't very good for your selfesteem, kids already said that to me while I was just like them 6 years old. Maybe because of hearing that my whole childhood I see myself as a heavy person, while I might not really be, I dunno. Anyway, we are kinda derailing the thread :P

There are Twi'leks which are quite covered and I'm sure there are many people's drawing which depict clothed Twi'leks, hence you'd make an awesome Twi'lek ^_^

I've been performing at a renaissance festival since 1998 and have developed many different characters. I have Jingles the Christmas elf/jester, Dewdrop the fairy, Frilly the showgirl, Chianti the wench, etc. I do many corporate events so I have a costume room in my house to hold all the different things that I wear. I also cosplay a My Little Pony/Star Trek: the Original Series crossplay and I'm working on a female Wolverine.

Just FYI on the Twi'leks... The Wookiepedia page says that Twi'leks actually view heaviness as affluence, and that it's supposedly a common thing for them to get chubby when they leave their home planet. ;)

So if you're chubby, you could very easily make a beautiful Starfarer Twi'lek costume instead of one of the super revealing slave-dress or midriff bearing fighting-style outfits.

From the Wookiepedia:

Twi'lek society also associated obesity as a sign of affluence and success
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Twi%27lek

So if you want to rock the Twi'lek, don't let being chubby stop you!

Bahaha so do I! I can firmly place the blame of my epicness on her shoulders. I know I get my quirky from her.

I do larp and reenactment and getting into the 501st Legion and various cosplay groups at conventions. Also do dress like a fairy at times. I have a fursona I hope to make a fursuit for it.

I adore creepy characters too.

I adore creepy characters too.

I'm really trying to do more with my Creepy Halloween Character. Course my roommates are a little worried as I laugh maniacally walking down the Halloween sections that are being put out.

haha, I would laugh manically too going down the Halloween aisle. Especially if I was feeling it getting into a character.
