Struggling to replace scales

So we have this lovely sequinned tail that Mermaid Bonnie made. She got her scales for it from Mermaid Shelley who got them from Cartright Sequins. http://www.ccartwright.com/shells.html We are trying to find replacement shells (sequins) but it looks like both the color and the size are discontinued. I ordered the biggest ones they have listed here, and they're still barely 1/4th the size of what we have. And nothing close to the color unless we go super small.

Is there anywhere else anyone knows of online to buy sequinned shells like this? I have been searching myself but can't find any. They don't have to be exact, but something bigger and a wee bit closer to the color would be appreciated. Then we could fill in spaces and make it less obvious. I'll post a pic in a follow up post. gotta get it off my phone.

I've never ever seen them sell them at our Michaels or online. Ours frequently does not have the same things listed at other ones, and what they do have (like the albalone pieces) are almost double in price.

I'd appreciate any links or stores that people know of for SURE who sell, as I have already investigated everywhere local. Thanks :)

That's incorrect. I know where Mermaid Shelly got her sequins and it wasn't Cartwright.

Well that's what I was told. I bought this tail for another mermaid and id love to know where the scales came from then so she can replace the big bare patches on her tail

Nevermind. 3 others users just sent me the link :) I guess it had been posted about before but then taken down out of respect for Mermaid Shelley. But since she no longer sells them, it shouldn't be an issue to publicly speak where they came from.

Now we can fix up Mermaid Mutiny's tail so there aren't any bare patches :)

Apparently they'll lower the minimum order to 3kg as opposed to 6 which is nice but even 3kg lol wow kinda crazy. We might be sequinning a lot ;)

Another thread somewhere said that Cartwright would soon begin carrying the large shell sequins. Still not seeing any large shells on the Cartwright website, though.

No me either! But it seems like per the amount you get, they are more expensive. It cost us 40$+ for these two tiny bags and I could get 3kg for 100$ from vector.

I'm actually super excited because I love the silver and gold sequin size but I'm not a fan of silver or gold for a tail

They did tell me that they were going to offer larger sizes in colors other than gold and silver later this year.
