Lorelei's New Tail Fund

Let me start off by saying, yes, I realize all of us mermaids and mermen are pretty much broke. :P We scrape for every penny. I know this.

Still, I wanted to go ahead and let you all know that I am raising funds for a new tail. Most of you know that I sold my handmade tail to Siren Tide (specifically the lovely Mermaid Diona) because I could no longer continue to work on it and finish it like it deserved. Because of this, I am tailless and in a position where I can't make a new tail. So, I'm saving for a lovely tail from Finfolk.
I've currently saved up about half of the funds necessary, but I still have 1500 to go. I started a gofundme in the hopes that I might reach my goal just a little bit sooner.

If you wouldn't mind taking the time to read my full story and share my gofundme, I would be extremely grateful. As you all can imagine, this means a lot to me, and I appreciate even the smallest bit of generosity, whether it's a dollar or a share.

That's probably because no one really knows you.
I know you mean well, but you haven't made that many posts on here.
Regularly new people come here to advertise their campaigns and kickstarters, and most mers here try to save for their own tails, so you might not get
that much money from asking here.
But don't give up!

Don't give up sweetie! but Yulia is correct. A lot of people come here to campaign, and they're usually new. I'm pretty sure the only reason I've done as well as I have is because I have such a history here and on facebook.

Yes anonminity is sometimes perfered but you get a better chance of donations if you share who you are , conversate on the boards etc

I appreciate your desire to have your gofundme succeed, Pascal, but I would prefer you not use my page for it, especially as you have your own thread. Trust me, I know what it's like to want a tail. I suggest following the thread Yulia posted.

That's awesome! I was wondering... I have a donors choose.com project (it's a site only for teachers where the items earned go directly to the school you work for--it's not technically your but your class gets it) would you guys mind sharing that around for me?

I'm broke as a joke and therefor unable to help, but I do hope you reach your goal! Have you tried doing fundraisers instead of asking for donations? I'm currently doing a raffle for Spa&Wellness gift cards and it seems to be going well. It just started today lol. But it takes a few dollars to start but I've make more off of actual fundraisers than I have off of donations. Just a suggestion! :D Again GOOD LUCK!!!

Thought I should update you all!
I just had another donation (which brings my gofundme total up to $110). I've also had quite a few donations outside of my gofundme and I'm so close! I have all the money necessary for my tail and the special upgrades I'm looking to get; dorsal fin, pectoral fins, ankle fins, competitor monofin, special paint job. Now the only money I need is for shipping!
To everyone who has donated (on here or not) THANK YOU! There's no way I would be getting my tail this year if it wasn't for all of your help! <3
