I've started my first tail :)
It's a bit of a low-budget tail made from an old wetsuit with sequins to hide the seams. I'm experimenting with fabric and siliconegel to make a dorsal fin.
Unfortunately, I'm a total noob when it comes to sewing so i'm just gonna glue everything together with silicone based bison gel :P
I've already cut the wetsuit open and now it's time for stage 2: glueing the legs together.
The colour scheme is blue/purple/pink... it has to match my mahina merfin.
It's probably going to be a lot of trial and error, but we'll see...

Can't wait to see how it turns out!
I have a fabric/neoprene tail and it works great. I sewed it with fishing line and then glued the seams with E6000.

soooo.... this is probably the shortest project ever.
The glue actually ripped the fabric when it dried. So what I have left is 2 different pieces of neoprene.
ABORT MISSION !
What have we learned from this ? Do not use industrial strength glue on used wetsuit material :p
