as the title says. i would love to be a model. im not over weight. almos underweight nd 5'7 anybody have tips on starting??

You can also join local modelling groups on facebook, apply at art schools, and use websites like MM to meet people so you can start to practice. Some cities have modelling workshops hosted through photography businesses etc

You can also start asking to friends, if you know and photographer that is a friend of yours you can ask if he/she can y take pictures of you for modeling just to start ;)
Or maybe try to pose for that young guys that wants to start being photographers but don't have any experience, in this way they can help you and you can help them ;)

I`ve been doing quite well using Model Mayhem. You can do shoots for trade at first. Then once you build a good profile you can start trying for paid jobs in the casting section. Helps if you bring your own photoshoot ideas, costumes, and makeup to the table. I found the just starting out/for trade photographers pretty much expect you to come up with all the hard parts. But if you put a cool idea for a photoshoot out on the casting board you`ll get some takers pretty quickly.
