New Indiana Mer

Warm waves, merfolks! I'm new to mermaiding (and forums!) and I wanted to introduce myself. By day, I work with kids; by night, I take pole dance classes. In between, I find time to be a mermaid. I have a humble tail from FinFun, and it is wonderful. Open water swimming is my favourite, but open water is hard to come by in central Indiana. If anyone knows of any good swimming spots in the area, outdoors or in, I'm listening! I haven't met any fellow mers yet, so I can't wait to hear from you.

My ultimate dream is to work my love of all things mer into my other passion -- teaching kids with disabilities. I'd love for kids have a blast and be safe in the water with a little help from me...

Definitely! My neoprene tail from Morticia Mermaid won't be done for a little while (I'm still waiting for her to get back to me with the design), but I could probably nab my cousin's finfun tail for a few days. ;)

Indoor or outdoor? Because I know Lake Monroe and Payne Town are excellent. I'm not sure about indoor though. Maybe the IU pool? Our YMCAs (which I work at) probably won't allow tails -- we don't even allow water wings. :/

Yup, they're open! You don't have to pay to get into FourWinds anymore either :D I'm at the beach right now (I'm mobile) and it's beautiful out!
