Mermaid Tail Fundraising?

I am tying to save money for a partial silicone mermaid tail from the mertailor as my first tail to start out my mermaid business doing kids parties... my goal to reach is $1,400 enough to pay for the tail with a custom paint design and a matching top with some extra for shipping costs. My plan is to save or raise the money and set it aside if I'm not my goal weight and wait until I reach my weight goal to buy the tail. If I was to start a fundraiser which is the best way to do it?
