Hi everyone!

I'm just starting making my dream of mermaiding come true. I used to lament about how AWFUL it was that I was born a HUMAN instead of a beautiful Mermaid. I have always kept that dream alive, hoping that one day maybe, JUST MAYBE, fate would say "Just kidding" and turn me into a beautiful sea creature.

I lived in Tampa, FL for a few years and got a glimpse of the mermaid world, the weeki wachee mermaids and the wonderful merbella's. They renewed my dream and I started looking into perhaps becoming one of them. However life had different plans lol. Now I'm living in the Phoenix AZ area (terrible place for a mermaid mind you... but my husband INSISTED...) and I'm in a place financially to get on track. I'm a total newb, so I will probably be asking a LOT of questions....

I'm a hoping to meet some new people both locally and all over. I'm a costumer/cosplayer so I travel a little as well so it'd be nice to meet up with people at conventions :)

Anyway I guess that's it... sooo HI :rollover:

Welcome!

Besides the pools which are all nice and warm, I know Chandler has those little lakes running around the houses. I wonder if anyone swim in them?

Have a great weekend :thumbs-up:

Welcome! Sorry you're in a desert, but you're not alone. There are a lot of landlocked mers here.

I can so much relate to that! My childhood in a nutshell.

Anyway, welcome and I hope you can turn your dream into reality!

Oh it must be torture to live so far away from the waters. I'm happy to see that you are here though and if you would like to exchange advice don't be afraid to ask. Welcome to the mernetwork sister. :3

I was born in Phoenix Arizona. I remember that 120° heat vividly! I moved to Texas when I was 3 so my dry heat days were short lived but I'm still landlocked at the moment 21 years later. I still have 2 years left before I get closer to the beach but I know how it feels to be far from the water. The beach I'll be close to in a few years is murky and nasty so not much better at all. Can't see your fins in 6 inches of water. Nasty Texas gulf of Mexico. I'll be near Galveston. We have jellyfish and since the water is so gross you can't see them so I don't risk it. I like clear ocean waters
